WHAT'S HOT, WHAT'S NEWZ

at ISIS club by Ramelle

The past suneer has been a successful one for the debut of leis, Clevelands novest and nottest women's bar. Although originally a bit slow, the croud has been turning out on masse on Fridays and Saturdays for great drinks and socializing, and the weekday flow of customers has been steadily growing. A number of special events has kept the bar jumping over the summer; the July 4th weekend spawned loads of out-of-town beauties who flew in for the nationally advertized Cleveland 500. New faces, friendships, and undoubtedly a few new romances sprung up.... Several weeks back, Isis hosted a Saturday night benefit for Women's Pro Football, with half of the special $2 cover going to the neuly organized tean. Good luck from the Isis gang! And of course the most recent shindig was Wednesday's Red Hot Party, which turned out to be quite appropriately named. All those wearing red received special drink prices, and a certain person was seen putting her red-sandaled foot on the bar in an effort to get the discount. She got it, all right.

Isis is a private club (word has it that membership cards are on the way) but it's community-minded as well. Posted flyers keep patona upto-date on the latest women/gay oriented events, and several gay publications are made available at the bar such as High Gear, Petro, and, of course ACTION magazine. There's a bit of confusion regarding Isis policy on admitting male patrons, so, to set the record straight: gay mon are welcome Monday through Thursday, but must have an escort; weekends are for women only. This is largely due to space limitations, for the bar is small and does fill up on weekends, and let's face itthe women want an exclusive bar just like the mon do.

Getting down to business, haze's "What's Hot" at Isis, as seen and
